What is an Anomaly?

Anomalies are Niantic organised but player run events that take place all over the world!

The results of anomalies generally have an effect on the Ingress storyline, and can sometimes end up with new in-game items being released to players.

If you get a chance, taking part in an anomaly is a really good idea – they are very exciting and great for getting to know other players locally, and potentially globally.
